The territory of Costa Viola is a particular stretch of coastline that stretches for 35 km between the Strait of Messina and the Tyrrhenian including four municipalities bordering the sea with a vast hinterland behind. Each municipality offers superb views of the Aeolian Islands and two active volcanoes, the Etna and Stromboli. Surreal sunsets, crystal clear waters which are reflective winding and jagged mountains that fall sheer, active vegetation of every kind and nature, make this stretch an enchanted place, where the hand of man has done little to ruin the natural beauty.
The depths of the Costa Viola, similar to tropical ones, are considered a heritage of high landscape and tourism value, where an ecosystem is still intact and serves as habitat for a multitude of fish and shellfish, colonies of sponges, rare colonies of black coral (Scilla) and white coral (Palmi).
The beaches and the various coasts are sandy stretches, rocky, and sometimes gravelly ridges dominated by the Aspromonte and Monte Poro.
The Costa Viola concerns four municipalities as: Bagnara, Palmi, Seminara and Scilla.
